At Sotheby's Geneva November auctions the Hong Kong real estate billionaire Joseph Lau wrote history. He bought two rare diamonds as a gift for his 7 years old daughter Josephine. For the Fancy Pink diamond of 16,08 carats he paid 28,5 million US Dollar and a day later 48,5 million dollar for the 12,03 carats Blue Moon, the highest price ever paid for a diamond at auction. The pink stone has been renamed the Sweet Josephine and the blue diamond the Blue Moon of Josephine. Last year (2014) he paid 32,6 million US Dollar for a 9,75 carats blue diamond and a 10 carats Ruby for 8,4 million Dollars. Those 2 stones, christened the Zoe diamond and the Zoe Red after his other daughter.
