A Jabot Pin was worn by men on the Jabot (the predecessor of the tie) and by women on the front of a dress. Often the pin had a bejewelled stopper. The shaft of the arrow would have been concealed beneath the material of the dress. The Jabot pin came back into fashion during the Art Deco period.
